Product Manager - ADvantage Portfolio

The role is based in our central Edinburgh office which is 10-15 minutes’ walk from Waverley or Haymarket train stations. You will report directly to the Director of Product Management with significant exposure to the CTO, CIO and Executive Team. 

What you’ll do in this role:

The main purpose of this role is to continue to build the success of our ADvantage portfolio of products and modules and to grow their revenue streams in an increasingly competitive market. You will have control over the day to day running of our largest revenue stream and will need to manage the portfolio by prioritizing and defining the features that add value to customers, and our business, based on customer insight and business imperatives. Successful roll out and In-life management will be key to your and TVSquared’s success. 

You will have an excellent grasp of the principles of product management and how to implement them, experience of managing B2B analytics products and a strong understanding of what makes SaaS products successful.

You will also have a good understanding of one or more of the following: attribution, the TV planning and buying cycle, the Media and AdTech sectors, and programmatic media buying.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and own the vision, customer and market requirements and translate these into prioritized product requirements for the ADvantage portfolio
  • Own and deliver the business case for your portfolio of products, working in collaboration with the engineering, product marketing and sales functions
  • Work with service design to improve the customer experience and immediate value that your products bring to new and ongoing users
  • Extend and monetize product modules both upstream and downstream of the core product to improve time to insight, reduce data management effort and create programmatically actionable insights

 Role specific knowledge and experience:

  • Expertise in building and management of analytics products and services, together with an understanding of how attribution works
  • Expertise in how to rapidly & iteratively improve SaaS products as the market leader in multiple markets
  • Good knowledge of TV advertising, buying and planning
  • A general appreciation of the Media and Adtech sectors
  • Experience of creating and automating SaaS business processes to increase speed to revenue and reduce costs to serve
  • Ideally, experience of internationalizing digital products

Product’s main role in execution is to be the voice of the market and to make sure we achieve what we set out to do.
  • Communicating with everyone: Product Managers are a key part of the glue that binds together teams at TVSquared. We communicate the who, what, why and when to the company. We also work closely with Marketing, Sales and Support on how best to communicate the product benefits to our customers.

The role of Product Managers:

As a Product Manager you will work closely with our Engineering, Service Design and Product Marketing teams on a day-to-day basis, and alongside the Director of Product Management and the CTO.

You should expect a great deal of autonomy, and a challenging and highly cross-functional role with tasks spanning the commercial and technical spectrum. As a Product Manager, we expect you to:

  • Build a deep understanding of customers’ needs and market opportunities
  • Develop a vision for the direction of the product, and lead prioritization to maintain the backlog
  • Engage and influence the development teams to agree on design and technical decisions
  • Track progress, assess risks and drive delivery by putting in place the commercial and technical metrics against which the product is judged
  • Lead communication with the rest of the business and work with product marketing to articulate our value-add to customers and prospects
  • Define our competitive positioning and keep on top of broader industry developments
